We are offering a project-based assignment as Senior Garment Expert – Waste Materials (m/f)
The Project
Within the GIZ Program Special Initiative "Decent Work for a Just Transition", sequa implements the "SME Grant Scheme targeting growth orientated SMEs" project in Ethiopia. With this, sequa aims to facilitate business growth and job creation of Ethiopian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by increasing their competitiveness and productivity so that their products and services will satisfy the demand on local and international markets. A specific focus will be provided for women-owned SMEs, job-creation, and employability training for women.
Benefiting companies receive flexible and demand-oriented funding (management consulting, technical training, financial competence / business plan development, qualification, applied research activities, etc.). A special focus will be on advisory services to improve access to finance. The grant scheme is expected to contribute to SMEs' change management and business growth.
KESTE DAMENA Rainbow Foam and Plastic Industry P.L.C has 25 years of experience producing and supplying foam products to the local market. The organization is engaged in two primary business structures. The first area extends mainly towards mattresses, beds, and all bedding accessories. This includes mattresses, pillows, cushions, and all other foam products. In addition, they provide duvets, bed sheets, day covers, and much more. Putting all the essential elements needed for customer sleeping needs is their way of putting their highly esteemed customer base to rest.
The objective of the assignment is to conduct a feasibility study on recycling and integration of textile and garment waste into foam production to enhance sustainable raw material access and product diversification.
