EthSwitch is the National Switch owned by all banks (private and public) operating in Ethiopia, the National Bank of Ethiopia, MFIs, PIIs, and PSOs. EthSwitch is mandated to Create Interoperability between financial institutions, Implement Domestic Payment Scheme, provide National Payment Gateway, serve as Central Interconnectivity for clearing & settlement and provide Shared Platform /Infrastructure services.
