Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Communications and Partnership Officer to join our team and support the Communication and Partnership Manager in promoting our program, engaging stakeholders, and fostering partnerships. This role will play a key part in shaping our program's external image, ensuring effective communication of our mission and objectives, and expanding our network of collaborators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Communication Support:
a. Assist in implementing the communication strategy tailored to promote the program's mission and activities.
b. Create and adapt content for various platforms and target audiences, including press releases, articles, social media posts, newsletters, and multimedia materials.
2. Media Relations:
a. Collaborate with the Communication and Partnership Manager in building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers interested in the program's field.
b. Assist in managing media inquiries and coordinating interviews and press events.
3. Digital Marketing and Social Media:
a. Support digital marketing efforts to enhance the program's online presence and engagement.
b. Contribute to content creation for program-specific social media platforms, and help monitor analytics and engagement.
4. Public Relations Assistance:
a. Assist in identifying opportunities for media coverage and news features related to the program.
b. Support the planning and execution of public relations campaigns to promote program initiatives and outcomes.
5. Partnership Development:
a. Aid in identifying potential partners among organizations, government bodies, and corporate entities aligned with the program's goals.
b. Collaborate with partners to enhance program impact and resource sharing.
6. Event Coordination:
a. Assist in planning and coordinating events, conferences, and webinars aimed at engaging program stakeholders and promoting the program's mission and activities.
b. Contribute to the management of event logistics and communications.
7. Brand Management Support:
a. Ensure consistent branding and messaging for the program across all communication materials.
b. Assist in maintaining brand guidelines for internal and external use.
8. Stakeholder Engagement:
a. Collaborate with the Communication and Partnership Manager to engage with program stakeholders, including donors, partners, and beneficiaries.
b. Assist in building relationships and gathering feedback from stakeholders.
Education
· Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
Experience
· 2+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, with a focus on digital media and social platforms.
Competency/Prerequisites:
· Proficiency in content creation and editing
· Strong digital marketing and social media skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
· Strong problem-solving abilities.
