Creative USAID/Ethiopia Civic Engagement (ECE) is seeking local Ethiopian organization(s), for grant award(s) as Civic Incubator Host in Dessie. Through these grants the selected civic incubator host organization is expected to arrange a co-working space that is easily accessible to potential users (including People With Disabilities-PWDs) with facilities that would be available for capacity strengthening activities such as trainings and mentorship, meetings, access to technology (computers, internet, etc.), giving civic actors (CSOs, private sector, academia, local government when appropriate, etc.) opportunities to access resources and create space for networking and collaboration
Job Requirements
To that end, Creative is inviting interested Civil Society Organizations including NGOs, Community Based Organizations, Faith-Based Organizations, and Coalitions/networks registered as local organizations with either the Agency for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO) or regional authorities; as well as legally registered entities including universities, colleges, training centers, for profit (especially social enterprise) companies, etc. to submit their applications.
How to Apply
Eligible and interested applicants are encouraged to read the full RFA thoroughly to understand the type of activity sought, application submission requirements, and selection process. To be eligible for an award, the applicant must provide all information as required in this RFA and meet eligibility standards in Section 4 of this RFA. Interested applicants can request the RFA and application forms via email: Grants@crea-ece.com. Applicants from Dessie and its surroundings who may not have access to internet can contact our Dessie focal person Mr. Getasew Amare at +251991324507 by text to receive the RFA and application forms. Please bring a USB or flash/hard drive to copy the files, one will NOT be provided.
Creative will organize a question-and-answer session on November 22 from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm. Interested applicants can submit their questions and register for the event via the Grants@crea-ece.com email or text messages to phone number +251991328949.
Due to disruption and internet connectivity the event will be held via teleconference. Mr. Getasew will facilitate the event and inform the applicants the location where they can participate. If you have any concerns about the event or your participation, please reach out to Mr. Getasew. The deadline for submitting questions to be discussed during the Q&A live session is 1:00 pm on November 22. In addition, all questions relating to the RFA submitted before November 22 at 1:00 pm will be answered and responses will be sent to Mr. Getasew or by email to registered potential applicants. Applicants can collect these responses from Mr. Getasew starting on November 24. The last day to submit questions regarding the application is November 30 at 1:00 pm.
Applicants must use the application forms provided and submit their technical and cost applications separately via email to Grants@crea-ece.com or physically to Creative Associates International’s Dessie focal person. If physical submission, it is required to be a paper document sealed with the applicant’s organization stamp across the seal. Details will be included in the RFA for physical submission. Applicants may also contact Creative Associates International to facilitate submission.
