Job Description

Purpose statement: Under direction of the HR Director, the Head of Health Service (HSH) is for Responsible for organizing, coordinating and facilitating the provision of professional and quality health services at the Repi Soap & Detergent PLC Alemgena Site as per regulatory/legal requirements and Company's established guidelines and standards with full passion and professionalism for the achievement of overall service delivery objectives.  S/he reviews and make recommendations to the management on strategic service improvement in and out-referral services in addition to professional. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure that Clinic license is renewed and update and displayed in front of Reception or office.
• Report all health-related regulatory report to local health authority and ensure copies of the report are documented on site Clinic.
• Ensure all disease and work-related injuries are reported to local offices.
• Develop operational procedures and guideline and ensure signed off by seniors and understood by all staff for smooth & clear operations.
• Ensure all HS staff profiles and legal requirements are fulfilled and documented.
• Implement the required procedures and processes regarding health & safety standards.
• Preparing JD and expected tasks to the HS team, coaching & supervising their performance.
• Provide basic healthcare needs to a company’s employees with integrity and professional ways. This includes administering first aid where needed and evaluating employees’ overall health, keep patient data’s/information and referral as per procedure and closely following and updating the management on the case status. 
• Requesting Purchase and managing medicine/drug purchased, administered and in stocks. 
• Ensure all critical safety equipment like first aid kits, emergency eye handwashing stations and handwashing stations, temperature screening devices, extinguishers, are checked, serviced and up to date in close coordination with all departments.
• Ensure that Clinic and other health/hygiene sensitive areas are a safe for all and confirm that all hazardous materials are safely stored and disposed.
• Knows procedure in reporting incident and injuries and maintaining master incidents & illness recording and update seniors on weekly basis.
• Recording incidents (illness & injuries) and recommending necessary safety improvement required based on you or your team's.
• Responsible on reporting any unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviors- Enablon Platform reporting.
• Ensure all expired medicines and medical equipment are discarded on time as per health regulation/proclamations and Company's waste disposal procedures.
• Make sure that all medical wastes are disposed and managed as per Local health authority. 
• Ensure that all outsourced medical services (Hospitals, Pharmacy & laboratories) fulfilled regulatory requirements and are working as per service contractor agreement and their contract is amended & updated on time. You are our Company's contact person for those outsourced medical service for any case.
• Control and ensure that service provided are as per agreed terms and conditions and any unprofessional handling and sick leaves are reported and controlled.
• Ensure that all prices are made and closed on monthly basis and communicated.
• Develop or prepare initiatives that the company can implement to lower healthcare costs, sick leaves/employee's absenteeism and promote employee’s health & safety.
• Responsible for facilitating and coordinating with the EHS & other departments to set up annual exams and physicals examination for Canteen staffs, welders and drivers. Then, they work with the employees directly to ensure the schedule works well for everyone.
• Must provide reproductive health, infectious diseases, prevention and control every month.
• Conduct health campaign on different health promotion strategies
• Facilitate and organize Safety/health talk program every month for office staffs and factory or operational employees on different health issues and case handling.
• Updating management on new regulations and any changes to health services 
• Other tasks or assignment given by senior management.

Job Requirement

Qualifications:

• BSC Degree in Nursing, Health Officer, Public Health or other related field of study with a minimum 4 years of experience respectively in public/private hospitals, clinic and organizational clinics or other related centers out of which two years in Head or equivalent capacity
