Background
Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP) implements Social and Behavior Change (SBC) component of the USAID-Integrated Youth Activity (IYA) project in collaboration with other consortium members. The purpose of IYA project is to empower Ethiopian youth to increase their economic opportunities, create self-reliant organizations, improve their voice in local, regional, and national policy dialogue, and expand access to essential services. The IYA SBC activities cover multiple issues including civic engagement, education, health, economic development, peace and security, and others. The program design utilizes media campaigns, youth and community engagement activities, capacity strengthening, and leveraging technology to provide access to information and services for youth.
Overview of the Role
The interns in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the IYA SBC activities to promote positive behavior changes among youth and the wider community.
