Purpose of the Job:
To enhance the availability and performance of company vehicles by efficiently inspecting, maintaining, repairing and servicing auto mechanical systems of vehicles.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· Regularly monitor and inspect the performance of machinery and equipment.
· Perform initial diagnosis and report any abnormalities to immediate supervisor when necessary.
· Inspect gearbox functioning, motor bearing temp and oil level, belt cleaners, sealing and discharge chute conditions, lubrications/grease level, and other conditions of machinery and equipment and ensure their optimal functioning.
· Carry out continuous inspection, adjust and control instruments and components using appropriate tools and ensure smooth operation of machinery.
· Perform basic preventive maintenance (such as adjustment and tightening, inspecting drives, motors, belts, as appropriate) and proper up keeping (such as cleaning dust, lubrication) of machinery and equipment.
· Inspect and report any abnormal sound, temperature or any other observation of anomaly immediately.
· Support asset management team during inspections as well as maintenance of machinery and equipment.
· Inspect material spillage from machinery and equipment, conduct proper choking to prevent spillages, and check all type of idler and perform pulley side sealing.
· Clean machinery and work area during operation and closing of operation.
· Record patterns of machine behaviour, maintenance or repair work performed and communicate common issues and root causes to the asset management team for long-term resolution of machine problems.
Qualification and Experience:
· Advance Diploma or Level IV in Automotive Technology/Auto- Mechanic with two (2) years of direct related experience.
Or
Certificate in Level III or Level II in Automotive Technology/Auto-Mechanic with four (4) years of direct experience in the field preferably COC Certified
