Beza Posterity Development Organization (BPDO) is a local NGO operating in Amhara, Afar, Addis Ababa, Somali, Dire Dawa, Harari, Oromia, Benishagul Gumz, Gambella and Tigray regions with program thematic areas of health, nutrition, migration, shelter service for migrants, livelihood, green job creation, youth empowerment, child protection, climate change, peacebuilding, social accountability, and emergency response.

Job Purpose:
The Digital Health Advisor will be responsible in development of digital data tracking system, creation data collection tools, data visualization dashboards, development of electronic database and application and with basic data management tasks and the overall development of Digitalizing M & E system for the TB LON KAP activities. S/he will work as part of monitoring, evaluation, learning and research (MELR) Team. The digital health advisor will provide advice to the M & E team and other project staff on technical issues related to electronic data tracking databases and application development and will follow guidance from monitoring, evaluation and learning Director.
Main duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee compliance with the terms and conditions of the grants. Provide technical assistance to grantees to build their capacity.
Ensure the TB LON activity MEL recording, collection, collation, analysis, and visualization are digitized.
Design/adapt eSOC /eCHIS based on the program MEL system need.
Supports all electronic data-related forms in the TB LON activity across the DRS
Supports the drafting of regular reports on the program’s activities (including monthly activity updates and quarterly and annual reports).
Review materials generated for program activities, such as quarterly and annual Activity reports to donors, research reports, abstracts, papers, research proposals, and grant proposals.
Supports knowledge management materials, including Activity briefs, presentations, success stories, and case studies, and records learning from the Activity.
Support TRAC in event preparation, including designing and preparing event materials, documenting the proceedings, etc.
Provide training and capacity-building support to Activity teams and partners on the digital health system and tools and processes including training and capacity building on digital health.
Work with the M & E Director to develop partnerships with other organizations to facilitate the use of Digital Health in TB LON KAP program activities.
Collaborate with team members to ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation of project information and communication technology activities, including the provision of input into the appropriate logical framework and indicator development.
Provide training as needed.
Promote and support the dissemination of project information and experience sharing among the projects team.
Contribute to the development of informational materials, and updates to the organization's website.
Other duties as necessary and as assigned.

Ensure that unit staff charges their time to the different project activities in a manner which accurately reflects their level of effort

Job Requirement
Qualifications And Experience
Advanced technology-related fields (e.g. computer science, IT, international relations, economics)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing technical assistance for healthcare-related ICT interventions.
Recent prior experience (within the last 3 years) as a technology or information systems project, systems architect, lead software or database developer, including the following responsibilities.
Use of source code management systems, project management tools, and bug-tracking systems to manage the software development process.
Developing software requirements/specifications and system architecture diagrams
Database architecture, relational database design, proficiency in SQL
Instituting and following quality assurance methodologies, systems, and release management processes.
Reviewing software contracts and licenses
Experience on open-source solutions for public health
Any of the following would be a plus: expertise in geographic information systems (GIS), DHIS2, electronic medical record systems, and managing open source softwares)
Strong knowledge of public health programs and eHealth/mHealth applications or health information systems for these programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation and facilitation skills, team building, and coordination.
Strong leadership, mentoring, management, planning, analytical, and organizational skills demonstrated by an ability to work both independently and within a team, assess priorities, and manage a variety of activities with attention to detail.
Proven leadership and capacity in negotiation and conflict management.
Experience in maintaining excellent communication with stockholders and Donor agencies.
