Beza Posterity Development Organization (BPDO) is a local NGO operating in Amhara, Afar, Addis Ababa, Somali, Dire Dawa, Harari, Oromia, Benishagul Gumz, Gambella and Tigray regions with program thematic areas of health, nutrition, migration, shelter service for migrants, livelihood, green job creation, youth empowerment, child protection, climate change, peacebuilding, social accountability, and emergency response.

Main duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure TB LON’s KAP M&E planning, and processes, meet the organization’s standards and comply with external requirements.
Utilize project data to monitor the quality and overall impact of the TB LON´s KAP interventions.
Design and implement M&E tools for the development of TB LON KAP activities.
Prepare TB LON KAP activities M&E plan for baselines, mid-term, end-line surveys, other surveys and research activities, and evaluations to be undertaken in the project.
Prepare and maintain a monitoring plan for TB LON KAP activities, keep the written evidence from conducted monitoring, its findings, and action points.
Provide technical support on M&E planning, including guidance on developing the indicators and measuring results, development of M&E tools and methodologies.
Cooperate and assist the M & E director and project staff in the development interventions.
Provide regular technical support in routine and results-based monitoring, including support to the M & E Director in meaningful reporting on indicators.
Prepare and present project-related reports to audiences of various types.
Lead and participate in conducting surveys or other data collection activities.
Conduct data analysis or support project teams in data analysis and reporting.
Proactively search for synergies among the project sites and equip staff in four Regions (Somalia, Afar, Benishangul, and Gambella)
Manage and assist in research to ensure that research and evaluations are carried out to the standard and successfully completed.
Provide technical support for Regional M & E officers/professionals in evaluations and other research activities, including engaging in TOR preparation, review of evaluation design and data collection methodology, data analysis, involvement of stakeholders, and dissemination plan.
Examine the evaluation/research draft report in relation to the TOR and formulate a written response.
Coordinate data collection for TB LON activities from all implementation sites and value these in accordance with set indicators for reporting.
Facilitates discussion on the most important findings and recommendations from M&E and systematically supports the Project teams in using M&E results and findings.
Prepare data for Senior project staff for qualified decisions over the project strategies and progress made through implementation.
The M&E Manager in consultation with the M & E Director can communicate with partner organizations and share the relevant information (regarding baselines, end lines, evaluations, etc.)
Maintain an overview of lessons learned in M&E, promote good practice, and identify ways to strengthen TB LON Activity planning, monitoring, and evaluation processes.
Prepare a presentation of the evaluation/other M&E activities findings for internal sharing and a brief fact sheet for external use.
Ensure archiving of the M&E documents in the TB LON Activity filing system.
Maintains the active inventory of evaluations/other research activities completed by the project, including a summary of lessons learned and the best practices.
Identify M&E capacity development needs of staff and provide M&E training to project staff.
Perform any other duties that may be deemed appropriate for this role
Job Purpose:
Under the leadership of the TB LON MEL and Research Director, the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research strategies for the TB LON KAP in DRS (Afar, Benshangul, Gambella and Somalia). He/she manages the process to set procedures for the project planning, monitoring, and evaluation processes. The role involves overseeing project planning, monitoring, and evaluation processes, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and external requirements. The M&E Manager provides strategic insights, supports system development, and contributes to capacity-building initiatives.
The M&E Manager also ensures integration with other organizational systems and benefits from external best practices; strengthens the monitoring, evaluation, and research network in the organization and contributes to the same. M&E Manager can perform independent work and make qualified decisions aiming at program quality. M&E Manager works with TB LON KAP MEL & Research Director to evaluate the overall progress of project activities based on the gathered data

Job Requirement
Qualifications And Experience
Master’s degree or equivalent in M & E, Public health, Development Studies, Statistics, social science, or other related fields with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in NGOs and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
Experience in data collection tool development, coordination, and supervision of baseline/end-line surveys.
Experience in data encoding, data analysis, and report writing.
Excellent analytical, teamwork, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Computer-friendly MS Office and working knowledge of data management systems including analysis software (Stata; Power BI, Epi info, etc)
Excellent spoken and written proficiency in Amharic and English, with experience in report writing and preparation.
Exposure to USAID-supported projects is highly valued.
Experience in maintaining excellent communication with stockholders and Donor agencies.
