EngenderHealth-Ethiopia is currently planning to the implement REACH (Reach, Expand, and Access Community Health) project, an integrated SRHR/MHM, and WaSH intervention in the Jimma and Borana zones of the Oromia Region. The REACH project will be implemented by a consortium of EngenderHealth, Amref Health Africa and DKT. EngenderHealth would like to hire a well-qualified qualified and dedicated candidate as an M&E Officer at the duty station of Jimma for its project which aims to fulfill SRHR/MHM, WaSH and Nutritional needs of Women and young people in Borana and Jimma zones. JOB SUMMARY
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer under the supervision of the Regional Team Leader will be responsible for providing technical assistance for the development of comprehensive planning, monitoring, and evaluation systems and ensuring the effective operation of a monitoring and evaluation system at the respective field programs. The M&E Officer will work to make sure the project database is updated regularly, compile project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and provide assistance in meeting the project commitment to the donor; in meeting project outcome-based performance timely. The M&E officer will also participate in baseline, midline, and end-line assessments; and engages in detailed implementation planning, and indicator development and in the preparation of monitoring and evaluation plans, tools, and databases. The officer will also assist the M&E advisor and program team to undertake program/projects monitoring and evaluation to ensure that EngenderHealth Programs/Projects are performed as per the plan and the desired impact is being realized. The M&E officers will also be responsible for compiling data, maintaining databases, synthesizing, and preparing reports, assisting in the documentation and dissemination of findings and lessons, and providing feedback as per the monitoring plan. The M&E Officer will assist in the preparation of quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports to EngenderHealth internal system, donors, government, and other partners as well as interim status reports as required. He will be responsible for making sure that project reports are timely communicated with public signatories.
