We are looking for an exceptionally creative and driven individual with a passion for leading the development of innovative digital solutions to improve public health outcomes. As a key team member, you will lead the development and adaptation of digital health solutions, working closely with various internal and external stakeholders. In this role, you will manage PSI’s digital health interventions while building strong partnerships with key stakeholders such as the Ministry of Health, partner organizations, technology experts, health program staff and researcher organizations.
You will closely work with PSI’s Global Digital Health team, the Ministry of Health and their digital health team, local and international NGOs and other partners to adapt digital tools for maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) and family planning that are aligned with the Ministry of Health’s national digital strategy. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in project management, coordination, problem-solving, interdisciplinary collaboration, creativity, and resourcefulness. He/she should have a knack for inspiring and facilitating discussion with various stakeholders to create an enabling environment supportive of digital health interventions.

Your contribution
You will work under the supervision of the Marketing and Communication Director but collaborate closely with the SRH Department, PSI’s Global Digital Health team and other departments as needed.
Specific roles include:
• Be the organization’s Human Centered Design (HCD) and Digital Health Expert.
• Closely coordinate with PSI Global Digital Health team, the MOH, local and international NGOs and digital partners to adapt existing digital tools for MNCH/Family Planning services to be aligned with the Ministry of Health National Digital Strategy.
• Provide technical and project management support to team members for the implementation of Digital Health interventions within PSI’s MNCH project and other projects as needed across the organization.
• Document Digital Health and HCD learnings and successes and share with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop training programs for healthcare professionals on digital tools.
• Establish metrics for assessing the impact of digital health initiatives.
• Develop and manage budgets for digital health initiatives.
What it takes to succeed: Have the skills and experience:
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the PSI Global Digital Health Team, the Ministry of Health, local and international NGOs, and digital partners to adapt and seamlessly align existing digital tools for maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) and family planning with the national digital strategy. You will also be responsible for leading digital solutions in PSI Ethiopia's programs
1. Strategy development and implementation with a focus on digital health:
- Contribute to strategy development and ensure that digital health aspects are integrated.
- Develop strategic recommendations with a focus on digital health aspects.
2. Project management and coordination for digital health solutions:
- Translate project requirements and lead project management for digital interventions.
- Oversee budget development, financial reporting and KPI tracking.
- Coordinate and lead a diverse team of digital tool implementers, technical developers, data visualization specialists, marketers and content creators while applying agile development processes.
3. Integration of testing and user feedback:
- Conduct extensive testing and gather user feedback on digital solutions prior to launch.
- Measure user experience and capture post-launch insights to make ongoing improvements.
4. Share knowledge and engage stakeholders in Digital Health:
- You will lead the creation and dissemination of best practice knowledge on digital implementation.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders through various channels, e.g. writing blog posts, giving presentations, and representing at conferences.
Your Background
What are we looking for? The basics:
· MA/BA Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Communications and Marketing, Design, Social Work, other Behavioral Sciences, or related degree.
· Minimum eight (8) years of professional experience with a BA or six (6) years of professional experience with a master’s degree.
· Experience with two (2) or more of the following: Innovation, human-centered design/design thinking, Digital Health, Leadership, Strategic Thinking, and Program Management.
· Demonstrated ability to work well with other teams and people.
· Fluent in English and Amharic, other languages are an asset.
