Job Description
Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies 1.6 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms more productive. Our 10,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across ten African countries, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers' homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, the farmers we serve earn 40 percent more profits on the land they enroll with One Acre Fund.
In Ethiopia, we engage farmers in agroforestry and community-based seed multiplication to increase farmers' incomes and improve farming systems. By engaging with local actors at every step but bringing ideas from outside, we are making rural farming more profitable and sustainable. Our Ethiopian partner farmers have planted over 60 million trees, produced over 2500 MT of improved teff seed, and improved hundreds of thousands of neighbors' futures. To learn more about our work, look at our Ethiopia program blog.
The Supply Chain, Procurement, and Fundraising Lead will be a part of the leadership team in one of One Acre Fund's fastest-growing country programs. The Ethiopia program is aiming at serving over 230,000 farmers in 2025, grow 30 million trees, and improve a successful seed multiplication program.
You will report directly to the Ethiopia Country Director or Deputy Country Director and will manage procurement, logistics, IT, field technology and data operations through a team of ~10 permanent staff and dozens of seasonal staff.
We have a strong culture of constant learning and we invest in developing our people. You’ll have weekly check-ins with your manager, access to mentorship and training programs, and regular feedback on your performance. We hold career reviews every six months, and set aside time to discuss your aspirations and career goals. You’ll have the opportunity to shape a growing organization and build a rewarding long-term career.
