This position is responsible for leading and execution of all daily Sales and sales related activities at the region. The incumbent is responsible for receiving and processing sale orders online, or via phone and email renegotiating orders to fit in truck and available SKU and plan load consolidation. The RSM will oversee Sales activities including inventory management, order pick, pack & fulfillment, drivers, scheduling and assist in hitting company and territory specific goals.
The RSM Under the direct supervision of the National Sales Manager; coordinate, plan, and control the day- to- day sales activities of the company’s freight delivery schedules and keeps track of the progress of deliveries; ensures efficient and cost-effective scheduling of deliveries goods to customers.
Major duties and responsibilities’ regarding sales Activities
1. Sales Execution
1.1 Manage sales performance of regional sales reps.
1.2 Ensures efficient and cost-effective scheduling of deliveries of freight,
1.3 Ensure that Sales Reps perform according to specified objectives and criteria according to tailored service packages and execution standards.
1.4 Identify new opportunities for sales volume growth to the market share.
1.5 Reviews requests from and requirements of customers to make sure that they get the best service the company can provide; handles customers’ complaints and responds to their needs in time.
2. Marketplace competitiveness
2.1 Insure and develop Customer service ethos!
2.2 Ensure Maximum level of customer satisfaction leveraged and critical compliance resolution.
3. Planning and Execution
3.1 Prioritize for Sales forecast area produced.
3.2 In-trade audits are planned and conducted
3.3 Review Competitor activities standing side of opportunity advantage monitored and appropriate responses made,
3.4 Monitor and support the drivers during the trip.
4. Information Systems
4.1 Information security is maintained in accordance with Company policy.
4.2 Responsible for the activities order registration, order confirmation, trip planning, dispatching, monitoring, and transport debrief in the Distribution operations process.
4.3 Resolve problems occurring and affecting timely settlement in coordination with National sales manager and Operations manager.
4.4 Communicate terms of payment, return of crates, collection of credit checks with drivers and agents,
4.5 Keeps proper data on vehicle trips Correlation with the freight order by their fleet/side number and plate numbers for triangulation check.
4.6 Ensures efficient and timely dispatch of drivers and vehicles to routes according to schedule.
4.7 Ensures credit note and settlement are on the proper documents to finance for triangulation check and proper documentation,
4.8 Keeps continual contact with customers, operations department, and quality departments to ensure effective deliveries safely reach their destinations.
4.9 Ensures efficient and timely dispatch of drivers and vehicles to routes according to schedule.
4.10 Ensure that all documents and permits are in place before the transport is dispatched.
4.11 Assign drivers to their respective vehicles and make sure that they leave and arrive according to schedule.
4.12 Plan trips and utilize drivers and vehicles according to maintenance schedule and driver planning.
4.13 Schedules pickup and delivery times for truck drivers, determines the routes drivers should take.
4.14 Keeps continual contact with customers and truck drivers to ensure that deliveries safely reach their destinations in time.
4.15 Monitor and support the drivers during the trip.
