Frankfurt Zoological Society Ethiopia is looking for experienced individual consultants from a consultancy firm to examine the effectiveness of the FZS-implemented Landscape Outreach Programme in and around Bale Mountains National Park in terms of improving human well-being and conservation outcomes, collate lessons learned, and provide practical recommendations for future programming.
The work will include evaluation of the results and sustainability of the pilot livelihood projects, identifying lessons for inherent sustainability, human well-being, and conservation enhancement.
The assessment focuses on an implementation period of approximately 10 years, covering work funded by a variety of donors including, but not exclusive to, FZS, the EU, KfW, and the Karl Kubul Siftung (BMZ).

The preferred approach is to have a small team of 2 Experts bridging different expertise that should meet the following criteria Tenders from teams that include both Ethiopian and international experts are desirable.
Experience in community livelihood development initiatives in Ethiopia and/or other countries in sub-Saharan Africa
A solid understanding of Integrated Landscape Management practice
Experience in project evaluation and in MEL systems and data required to assess outcomes and sustainability of livelihood initiatives.
Bachelor or Master’s or above level degree in relevant subjects
Demonstrated analytical skills, clarity in writing, and ability to translate abstract concepts into concrete actions/recommendations are all required.
