GIZ- Internal/External Vacancy Announcement ‘#037/2024’
Biodiversity Forestry Program (BFP)
Contract end date: 30.06.2024
The Biodiversity & Forestry Programme is now in its third and last phase and focuses on consolidating, intensifying and institutionalizing the processes and achievements reached by the previous two phases, while strengthening partners’ capacities at the local, regional and federal level. The institutions responsible for protected area and forest management, in particular the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority (EWCA) are supported in capacity and skill development, as well as in improving their monitoring and knowledge management by using digital solutions. BFP has started a stock take on products it has produced. The internship assignment is to assist the programme and EWCA to assure a proper handing over of documentation produced over the past ten years. In addition, other documentation relevant for EWCA is subject of possible handing over. The reception and proper integration at EWCA’s library and possibly, various technical departments (research & monitoring, community conservation, park development, ) will be assured. Further assistance will be provided by building upon the ‘stock take’ that BFP has initiated to assure that ‘lessons learnt’ during the past 10 years and related documentation, will find lasting physical as well as digital space (e.g. website) at EWCA headquarters.
