Background
Consortium of Ethiopian Human Rights Organizations (CEHRO) is a Consortium of 30 CSOs working on Human Rights, democracy, and peace-building, and registered under the Civil Society Organization Proclamation No. 1113/2011 with Registration No. 3932. CEHRO is working to promote the protection of Human Rights, improve the culture of democracy and peace-building serve as a common platform for members, and to initiate evidence-based advocacy. It is also working to strengthen the capacity of existing and new Human Rights CSOs.
In this respect, CEHRO in partnership with Civil Rights Defenders, planned to offer an internship opportunity for young women. Civil Rights Defenders is an international human rights organization based in Stockholm, Sweden, that partners with and supports human rights defenders (HRDs) globally. It has extensive experience in supporting HRDs at risk. Civil Rights Defenders working through flexible, context sensitive and, when needed rapid interventions to support local actors who are at the core of ensuring the respect of human rights. This internship is a great opportunity for students and recent graduates who are interested in human rights. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including researching human rights issues, writing reports and articles, organizing events and workshops, and conducting advocacy campaigns.
Duties and Responsibilities
Location: CEHRO is looking to hire two (2) interns and they will be based at the main office
Duration: For three months with the possibility of an extension for additional months.
