Introduction
Consortium of Ethiopian Human Rights Organizations (CEHRO) is a local network of CSOs registered on March 16th, 2018, by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Authority for Civil Societies Organizations in accordance with the new Civil Societies Proclamation No. 1113/2019 with registration number 3932. CEHRO aims to ensure the existence of an enabling environment for human rights and democratic governance and to create a platform for strong and vibrant human rights CSOs for the realization of human rights and democratic values in Ethiopia. Currently, CEHRO has 30 active member CSOs from different regions. Since its establishment in 2018, CEHRO has conducted several strategic activities that benefited its member organizations and can contribute toward the realization of the collective CEHRO’s vision.
The Consortium would like to invite interested and qualified consultancy firms/ individual contractors to undertake the review of its management systems and practices and develop the Consortium’s Policy/Manual on Gender, Safeguarding, Risk management plan, and Result based Performance Review System to ensure efficient and effective running of its program operations. The objectives, detailed scope, timelines, and other terms, etc. for the assignment are outlined in subsequent parts of this document.
Objectives and Scope of Assignment
The overall objective is to create an Organizational Environmental Policy, Anti-Corruption and Fraud Policy, and Induction Document that will streamline the organization's key strategic function and activities while remaining consistent with the organization's mandate, vision, and strategic direction. Based on the identified challenges and gaps, the selected consultant will analyze the organizational needs and required institutional capacities, as well as lead and assist in the preparation of Policies, and Manuals for effective organizational influence within the CSO sector.
