ABOUT US
GOAL has been working in Ethiopia since 1984 implementing a range of development, resiliency and humanitarian responses - working with street children, pastoralists and rural small holders. Currently GOAL Ethiopia's major funders are USAID/OFDA, ECHO, BPRM, Irish Aid/MAPS, Irish Aid/EHAF, UNOCHA.GOAL currently work in over 25 woredas across four Regions of Ethiopia and we deliver a range of programs including child protection, development, nutrition, emergency relief and rehabilitation. In 2005 GOAL, in partnership with USAID/OFDA, established the Humanitarian Response Programme (HRP) to respond to emergency nutrition situations in Ethiopia. This programme has grown substantially over the years, and is now multi-donor and multi-sectorial, with interventions throughout Ethiopia.
ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced Driver to join the Humanitarian Response Program. You will be joining the organization at an exciting time of growth and change and oversee all emergency and development survey and assessment activities, providing technical support and ongoing capacity building for the team.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced Driver with humanitarian work experience. You responsible to drive GOAL Ethiopia vehicles with in the programme area as well as outside to the programme’s staff as required.
· Sensitive to cross cutting issues - gender equality, HIV/AIDS and Child Protection.
Desirable:
· Experience in an NGO environment, and with very good experience in driving four wheel drove/field vehicle in the rural parts of the country
· Diploma in Auto-mechanics is an advantageous.
Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary: Birr 4, 324.00/month
Transportation Allowance - 10% of monthly salary
Pension- (11% from employer and 7% from employee).
Medical Allowance, birr 6500/annum.
Hardship Allowance, 30% - 50% (depending on the location) of monthly salary. In some sites accommodation with canteen is available.
