PSI-Ethiopia
PSI-Ethiopia, an affiliate of Population Services International, has developed national results-based programs in HIV prevention, reproductive health and child survival. Through evidence-based social marketing and health communications, PSI-Ethiopia strengthens public and private sector partners to help Ethiopia’s most vulnerable people to lead healthier lives.
PSI/Ethiopia is currently led a USAID flagship HIV prevention (MULU/MARPs) project through combination prevention and as part of the project implementation, the field program management team plays a pivotal role in the implementation of PSI/Ethiopia programs. The field programs management team is primarily responsible for the implementation of USAID’s funded MULU/MARPs program.

PSI/Ethiopia seeks Capacity Building on Combination Prevention Coordinator who is motivated and enthusiastic in Regional Program Management team.
Your contribution
Under the supervision of Area Program Manager, the Capacity Building on Combination Prevention Coordinator oversees and coordinates the integration of capacity building on combination prevention including economic strengthening activities into the overall combination prevention strategy as part of the structural intervention of MULU HIV/AIDs program prevention. S/he designs and manages region specific standard capacity building and ES package. S/he also maps out existing capacity building and economic strengthening strategies and integrates it into
PSI and global best practices. S/he also oversees implementing partners and community level combination prevention capacity building activities and strategies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Work with Area Program Manager, capacity building function and ES program lead to identify sub partners capacity needs;
* Oversee the implementation of CB/ES and follow up of local activities on regular bases and provide guidance on CB/ES strategy implementation;
* Support the organization of training and other capacity building activities, supportive supervisions, experience sharing with local implementing partners and regional stakeholders, etc.;
* Contribute to the overall regional and combination prevention / ES activities annual work plan development;
* Support the compilation of regional and partners level reports, review and submit regional periodic reporting as needed;
* Assist the analysis of regional CP/ES related data to make appropriate programmatic decisions based on data generated;
* Assist sub partners in establishing partnership with regional, government & local enterprise;
* Represent PSI within region on CP/ ES technical discussions, TWG;
* Encourage and assist sub partners in local resource mobilization & mapping for saving groups and MARPs association;
* Provide guidance for sub partners on local market assessment & linkage, developing viable & market driven business, and developing saving group by-law ;
* Support the establishment of sex workers CSOs and CBOs including strengthening and establishing PLHA associations;
* Perform any other related activities as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Your background
Credibility.
* MPH/MSc/MA or /BA/BSc in Public Health, Business Administration, Economics, Psychology, Sociology or related field;
* 2/4 years of experience in relevant work
TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS
* Knowledge of MARPs and combination prevention required;
* Written, verbal and inter-personal communication skills in English and local languages.
* Knowledge or experience of structural activities of PEPFAR partner organizations
* Knowledge of the national policy on HIV prevention and combination prevention
* Computer skill
* Demonstrated project coordination and supervisory skills in the regions
