The job holder will be responsible to Oversee the acquisition (prepares drug orders) and disbursement of drugs and medical supplies to SCI camp supported clinics under direction of the Health Officer, ensuring maintenance of cold chain as necessary and monitoring drug consumption ,Liaise with Logistics department regarding drugs and medical supplies orders, buffer stocks and distribution to the field sites / clinics in a timely manner Advise medical practitioners/health team on drug indications/contraindications, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects; provides other drug and pharmaceutical information as appropriate , Provide dispensary guidance and training to nurses at camp clinic sites during course of work and working closely with the other members of the SCI Health Team ,Maintain methods and manner of storage and record keeping systems to provide for safekeeping of pharmaceuticals in line with SCI drug management and logistics guidelines (Keep both paper and computer records) Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental standards Responsible for upkeep and refilling of first aid kits for all SCI cars operating from this SCI camp site, and the associated SCI residence(s) and office, Keep records of serious untoward incidents e.g. drug errors, poor quality, and expired drugs as requested by Health Officer Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned, by the Health Officer or Logistics Team as long as these do not interfere with routine work tasks Any other duties as required by the Health Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
To be considered for the position, applicants should have a Degree or diploma from an accredited institution in pharmacy ,Minimum 2 years of work experience in a medical institution or with a NGO medical project ,demonstrated ability to manage drugs, supply and requisitions in a limited-supervision setting, high capacity for flexible and advanced planning regarding procurements and drug management Efficient, organized and able to take initiative in proactively addressing issues related to drug supply, rational prescription and monitoring of monthly consumption and alsocandidates must have excellent written and spoken English
