The Education Programme Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of the designated education (ECCE and EIE) program, management of education program budget and staff. The position holder is accountable for quality of education program, budget management of all awards for which he/she is the designated budget holder, capacity building and training of education staff and timely submission of monthly, annual and donor reports. S/He will be expected to liaison with other partners, donors, SCI Addis staff, UNHCR and ARRA. The education manager will also be responsible for education program, monitoring, supervision, documentation of progresses of programme activities. Moreover, the magnitude of his/her duty has extended to undertake strategic planning, program development and provide technical supports, proposal development, joint assessment in collaboration with Addis Education and Humanitarian team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
To be considered for the position applicant must have a MA or BA degree in Education with 7 years’ of experience in Education; 4 years in managerial post. S/He must have an experience in Education program (ECCE and EIE) for refugee children and related work experiences at expat level. The incumbent should have a proven communication, Leader ship, coordination, team building, planning, networking, monitoring and evaluation skills and negotiation skills; as well as excellence in coordination and representation of Save the Children with other partners, donors and Addis staff and other agencies. Moreover, s/he must have experience in budget, staff and program management. Fluency in the English language, both written and verbal as well as high level computer literacy, especially in common software program is expected from applicant.
