Save the Children has been implementing a project that combines scenario based training and supportive supervision to build and maintain the Basic Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care skills of midwives and nurses working in 20 rural health centers in five districts of south Wollo Save the Children Ethiopia Country Office, therefore, wants to hire an experienced and competent consulting firm to conduct for an Evaluation of the Mobile BEmONC project in five districts of South Wollo Zone Ethiopia. Part B.
Job Requirement
The consulting firm should fulfill the following.
A background in maternal and newborn health research.
Excellent skills in data analysis and quantitative research.
Demonstrable skills in qualitative assessment and evaluation.
A thorough understanding of programme monitoring and evaluation
Experience of working in a developing country context.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The composition of the team should be professionals from the field of public health advance degree, genecology/ midwife /monitoring and evaluation/clinical nurse background or equivalent relevant degrees. Teams with qualified women will be at an advantage. .
Experience of similar scale baseline studies.
The ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders
The relevant human resource skills required including professionals with research,
Fluency in Amharic.
Excellent written and spoken English skills.
Sound Knowledge and experience in the Ethiopian health system and policy environment
Experience in basic health economics is desirable but not essential.
